Knowing and understanding the risks and controls associated with working at height is important, to keep you and your colleagues safe and well. The course is designed to provide a general awareness of working at height at a workforce level.
On completing the course you will understand:
- what working at height is, the definition and key statistics, and why it’s a risk that needs to be managed
- the legal requirements that apply to you and your employer
- about risk assessment and the hierarchy of control
- the different methods of protection to manage falls from height and falling objects
- some examples of working at height access equipment
- about emergency planning arrangements
