COSHH Awareness (Construction/Rail)

This course will take around 20 minutes

Knowing and understanding the risks associated with using hazardous substances is key to protecting both you and your colleagues from harm. So, you need to understand the dangers and controls in place to protect everyone. The course provides a general awareness of COSHH management for people at all levels 

On completing the course you will understand: 

• what COSHH is and why hazardous substances need to be managed 
• the legal responsibilities which apply to you and your employer 
• what the hazard pictograms look like and what they mean 
• about COSHH assessments and safety data sheets 
• about the work exposure limits (WELs) 
• the control measures to prevent exposure
